A Graduation card

Good Morning everyone.  How has your morning been?  We had a night of storms and heavy rains and it is continuing this morning.  I don't do well with gloomy days, however, it does make for a great crafting opportunity!

Here is a project I am in the process of, a graduation card/gift for my great niece in Missouri.  Her mom wanted something she could keep and treasure, so I immediately thought of one of my keepsake cards.  Her mother gave me a list of her likes, which included red and black color, zebra print, and baseball.  Well, I got the red and black part down.  I am uncertain how, or if, the baseball aspect will come in :)   It may look finished, but to me, there seems to be something more I can do.  What do you think?

As you can see, I decided not to use the flower.  Once I know that it is completed to my liking, I will put it in a shadow box and send it off to Missouri!

A Challenge to me and you!

Hello everyone.  A beautiful day in Minnesota today.  A cool 75 degrees and sunny.  I went for a 4-mile walk this morning and it felt great!

Over the past weekend, I thought I would go through my scrapbooking/cardmaking supplies and organize.  I discovered I have waaay too many items!   So, I decided to challenge myself by not purchasing anymore items until I have used what I have and I am challenging you to do the same.   Let's use our supplies, even as outdated as they may be, and share our projects.  There are no rules to this challenge, (and unfortunately no prizes), but just have fun and create something!   I would love to see what everyone comes up with.   I look forward to hearing from you and seeing your creations.

Have a wonderful day/evening!

Back to reality...

Hello everyone!  Well, vacation is over and we are back to reality.  Yes, we were on vacation for a week and, although it rained all but one day, we had a wonderful time.  It's so nice to get away and rejuvenate yourself and that is what I have done.  I took a walk this morning and cleared my mind and now am ready to get some projects done as I have been neglecting these far too long!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your day whereever you call home!  Thanks for stopping in and I'll be back soon with recent projects once done. :)

New cards

Hi all! It's been awhile, but here a set of cards I created this weekend. I used a Martha Stewart punch and spellbinder dies, patterned paper and some pearls; the "button" is a die cut that I embossed with bronze embossing powder.

Thanks everyone!

Good Morning everyone.  I am sorry I have been MIA for awhile.  I have been into this exercise mode lately and that's all that has been on my mind.  It's a good thing for my weight loss (lost 22 lbs already), but a bad thing for anything else.  Of course, I am still waiting for my studio to be finished.  Creativity cannot flow in what I have to work with now, but I promise, I will get my priorities in order and I will be creating soon.   In a few weeks we will be on vacation, so hopefully my creative juices will be working after a good rest.  In the meantime, I hope you all are doing well.  Here are some items from the past you may enjoy, and remember, if there is anything you are interested in, please contact me.  Have a great weekend!

Good Morning to you all!
It is a gray, depressing looking day today in Minnesota.  We were suppose to have sunshine and fairly high temps today.  Instead, we have gray and rainy-looking, and 43 degrees.  Oh well, any day is a good day as long as I am with my son and husband and everyone is well and safe.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not a great technology person, I mean I can turn on the computer, search for things and post on my blog, but anymore than that, I'm lost.  Anyway, I have been branching out lately, trying new social medias, and I must say it has been worth it.

I have been noticing more of an audience to my blog and facebook pages, to which I give a HUGE thank you to all of my followers.  I am just a small-town girl sharing what I love to do, and hoping I can inspire some others.  At this time, I can't afford to do give-aways and prizes and such as others, but perhaps in time.   I honestly am so excited each day I check my blog and see a new follower or a new comment!  I love seeing where everyone is from as well.  I love you all, but especially the fans from Sweden, as mine and my husband's histories are Swedish! :)

Again, thank you all for the support and checking in with my blog.  I truly appreciate it.
I will, soon, begin working on a scrapbook for my nephew's graduation and I'll share the process and finished project as soon as I can (I am still waiting for my sister-in-law to send the photos, etc. from Georgia).

So, until next time, have a great day!    Here are some past projects I have done for those who haven't scrolled the blog, just to keep the motivation going.

HUGS,
Mary

Boy did I make a big mistake today!
Earlier, I posted pictures, one of which was my son on his birthday.  I was having a discussion with my son tonight in which he said someone had asked how old he was.  He replied to them, "14".   Here's my mistake...I had posted in my earlier post that he celebrated his 13th!!   Okay, I seriously had a brain freeze moment.   When I mentioned that to him, he immediately told me I had to fix this, hence the addendum to the blog :)   I guess I just don't want him to grow up ;)
